Creative Learning in Education
We are not living in the movie of harry potter, where student go to hogwarts school of wirtcraft and wizardry and where the impossible is possible. If we had a magic wand, we could right away make up the best teaching menthod or style to enchance learning for all students but that is impossible.
This is the reason why i do not believe that any dramatic teaching breakthougt will occur in the near future but i do believe that the three things i am going to share with you today can enchance university students’ learning. There are: Grasping students’ full attention and motivation to learn. Then, applying a combination teaching menthods and styles. And the last is Teaching and learning creatively.
Let’s begin with the first one important way to motivate and get university students’ attention in order to enchance their lerning. If students understand the value an importance of the subject, they will be willing to devote time and energy into learning the matter.
If students are allowed to work and share ideas and opinions, their lerning will be enchanced. Students need to practice active learning and not just learn by sitting in class, listening to teacher , memorizing, and spitting out answers . That is not enough. Students want to bring out what they have learned into the real world to use and apply in their daily lives.
Research has shown that this hands on menthod encourages students to naturally become interested in learning and it has proved to be a very effective learning menthod.
The second evidence i want to reveal is that applying a combination of teaching menthods and styles can also improve university students’ learning. Every students has a specific type of learning styles that works best for them. And so teachears are forced to implement various teaching menthods and styles so as to capivate each student’s attention and motivation to learn. Various teaching menthods and styles offer yhe oppurtunity to learn in multiple ways : when several teaching techniques are combined, students have a better chance understanding ways is taught.
The more the variety in teaching, the better the oppurtunity to learn. So far we have had many taching menthods and styles. And it is possible that we can re enforce the old ones and put them together. When we have several teaching menthods and styles, we have the option to use these styles to meet the various lerning styles of students.
Last but not least, creative teaching can play an important role in enchancing learning for all students. Creativity or the ability to think outside the box and to solve problems is a skill that can be taught and it applies to all regardless of their field to study. Sometimes lecturer is a great way to teach them certain facts and ideas but actually students naturally learn and grown from their experience.
Teaching creatively by getting university students out of the classroom and into the field, or into a new world can surely enchance their learning. As a result we’ll finally have creative learners who can be succesful in their lives in this extremely competitive an globalized world.
I strongly believe that if we can motivate university students to become fully interested in all the subject matters, we have several applied teaching menthods and styles to meet their interest and if teachers give students new cretive things to do, when these things are combined will definitely enchance university student’s learnings.
